Common Problems

These three suggestions have solved most people’s DIP problems:

  1. Make sure you are powering C.H.I.P with an adequate 5V 2A+ power supply. Having C.H.I.P. attached to your computer while using a DIP will not work properly. Most computers’ USB ports will not provide enough power to adequately supply C.H.I.P.
  2. Please try more than one display cable and more than one monitor, if you can. Not all cables and monitors are created equal.
  3. Make sure to update C.H.I.P to version 4.4 with DIP support available at DIPs won’t work without this update.
